I'm wondering if anybody here has tried Passion flower drops for anxiety, and if it worked. Any side effects?
I'm currently weaning myself off Remeron and want to try a natural herbal approach.
Thanks!

I have found that the Herbal stuff does not work well for me. Some of the others did help a little, but in large doses.
Ask you Pdoc. He can help you get off. But don't be suprised if your orignal symptoms come back. IMHO only !!!
It won't hurt for you to give it a try, maybe you will have better luck.

I had trouble going pure herbal myself. But there are more complete ways of getting the anxiety down naturally. When I was doing a bunch of research I learned that my brain probably had trouble producing enough serotonin and/or GABA. The natural answer to that is to get serononin and gaba precursors (the things that the body uses to make those neurotransmitters). Those would be Tryptophan and Theanine. Other good things to take are B vitamins, calcium and magnesium. I take a supplement with all those plus passion flower and a few other herbals. It's called Tranquilene, check it out.

But yeah, if you just take one or two herbals, its probably not going to have as good an effect as a broader formula.
