hiya,i did suffer from anxiety yrs ago but i am alot better, things do make me feel abit anxious but the thing that gets me is feeling my heart beating and sometimes i know it sounds mad but if i eat boiled eggs and toast in the morning i find my heart races alot faster, which gives me feelings of anxiety thinking there is something up with my heart,i have had 2 heart scans in the last 10yrs and 24hr tapes stress test and all came back normal so should i still be worrying?hope somebody replies and tells me they can feel there heart beating hard.

Totally can relate ! It's like no matter what I do it is beating fast and I notice it . It's worse late at night and early AM. Dr prescribed propranolol but I'm going to stick with my Ativan because side effects are not dangerous as with propranolol . Everyone says I have to distract myself and I honestly don't know how when it's happening

I am on the beta blocker propranolol and have had no negative side effects. I started on 80mg and now just take 10mg a day and it has been a god send- no more fast heart rates or adrenaline surges.

did the doc say what causes the heart to go fast even if you arnt anxious?i would love to be brave enough to take beta blockers but i know my friend took them and kept fainting,i have a low bp aswell and i am scared because propanalol lower your bp,doctors just havnt got a clue how to deal with patients with anxiety and panic they either give u beta blockers or antidepressants,it is hard though when you can feel your heart beating fast you just cant distract yourself.

Hello!! Maybe you have a food intolerance I hear about that in nutrition class. Some people aren't allergic to food but it could cause your body to feel weird. That happens to me with certain foods I eat. Do you drink enough water? Dehydration can lead to increased heart rate because your heart has to work harder because there is nt enough fluid.
