Hi everyone. I found this site while searching for some anxiety information. I am relatively new to anxiety. I only started experiencing severe anxiety within the past year which quickly spiraled into panic disorder. I am currently taking 50 mg of zoloft and .5 mg of ativan daily. I have found that zoloft really works for my anxiety better than any other medication I've been on (prozac, celexa, lexapro). I don't experience any side effects and I've been doing well on a mildly therapeutic dosage. It's nice to be feeling well again and be able to go out in public, eat, sleep, and be around others without any intense fear and physical symptoms. I'm glad that I've found a forum where people can share their experiences with one another. I don't know anyone personally who suffers from panic disorder other than my mother (who has actually been a great support person for me!) so I'm glad I found this site.

Hi! I'm new here too. In fact, I got this account today. I have social anxiety, which is ironic. Seeing as I'm quite open with people I'm friends with. Have a good day and welcome! :)

I think this is the best forum for people with anxiety. We have such an amazing community on here with lots of helpful people who are in the exact same boat as you. Many anxiety veterans, many who are new to it, and many who have conquered it or are able to control it pretty well (Some who have done this without medication or therapy: just tips from this forum, SUPER positive attitude, and a simple goal to get better- I'm one of them)

I'm glad to hear you're able to go out and enjoy yourself despite having anxiety in your life. Don't be a stranger! :]

Sunflower, I have Panic Disorder too and some Social Anxiety so know how you have felt. An ssri helps me(prozac in my case) so stay with the zoloft. I am glad it's working well for you. Welcome an PM me any time. Alankay

I just recently joined and noticed your post talking about prozac. I am currently restarting prozac and struggling with the ups and downs. I was on it for years and did quite well. Now my anxiety is much worse and I feel like it is taking me forever to feel better. Any advice?
