Help with Prozac side effects

Hi all, I was prescribed 10mg of Prozac and have been taking it for just 4 short days. I feel miserable. It honestly feels like my eyes are never going to close again. It's the strangest feeling. I took 0.5mg of Klonopin to try and get some sleep but it's not working. Anyone have any advice? Could a tension headache cause my eyes to feel so...strange?

FYI...I have been diagnosed with GAD and slight panic disorder. No depression.

Hello Rachelm! It is common during the first few days on drugs like Prozac for people to experience a variety of side effects, and, major bummer, no therapeutic effect. The good news is that by continuing with the treatment the side effects cease, and the therapeutic effect kicks in. It should take 3-4 weeks, but it is quite common for people to start feeling better even before that. This said, I advise you to see the doctor who prescribed the Prozac as soon as possible so that he/she helps you minimize these negative effects.
