Define a derealisation attack? For me it wasn't an attack. Just a horrid way of thinkin for months at a time

I try and keep my mind busy when it happens. I knit, try and read (although that is really hard to do when suffering from derealisation), jigsaw puzzles, walk, colour in, anything where I don't have to think but takes my mind off it.

When I get these attacks I usually go and take a hot bubble bath, trust me it helps!! it feels like all the panic has been washed away and I feel better, and when I do have one of these attacks I try not to talk to people because the more I talk to people the more crazy I feel because I just dont feel real and I feel like life is a dream and that everything theyre saying happened like 4 years ago. Its so scary and im only 16 :(((

you say you have experienced for months at a time... for you, were you able to let it pass? I have had derealization for over 5 months after taking zoloft. Help me...

yes Ive experienced it for years at a time before I knew what it was, thankfully and just by sheer luck I found out that I wasnt going crazy,
