Suffer from bipolar 1 disorder and severe anxiety and sometimes I deny that I have some psychotic tendencies but I really do. I've been off my medication for a while and the antipsychotic I take is HALDOL 10 mg. it helped when I was on it but I wanted to give my liver a break, but I went off it without my doctor's care. I know I know pretty bad. I think I might be getting delusional and I feel really anxious. I take Xanax but if things get too bad I'm going to start back up on the HALDOL again.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Storper

Rebecca, when someone is completely psychotic, they don't know that they're out of touch with reality. However, most people, when they're at the beginning stages of losing touch with reality, know that something is wrong.

In another words, Rebecca, it's a bad idea to let this problem get worse. Get the help you need now, before you get to the point where you can't take care of yourself.

Rebecca, pay it safe and work with your doc on this. If your not feeling right, resume the haldol and talk with doc about the liver concern. You should be fine at normal doses. The doc has already considered liver risks before even starting you on this med. Alankay
