Tomorrow I start my sophomore year in college, and I feel my symptoms coming back (FML). I need some advice so I don't be so stressed out and so my anxiety doesn't get really bad, because it is. I want to have an successful, stress and anxiety free semester, unlike my last semester!! Help!!!! please!!!

Hey L,

You probably need to approach things differently.

Stay away from drama, get plenty of rest, do deep breathing exercises every day, meditate, take a yoga class or Tai Chi, rest.

Stay away from alcohol, weed, and caffeine.

Most of all accept yourself and welcome the anxiety.

That's a start.

Hope your first semester is a great one,

James

Know why they tell race car drivers not to focus on hitting the wall? Because if they do, that's right where their car is headed.

See your semester as the same thing. Stay focused on the positives and pat yourself on the back for even going back when some people wouldn't have.
J gave great advice- welcome the anxiety, don't fight it. Let it happen and see that there's life on the other side of it.

Good luck! You're 1/4 way to being a college grad. :)
