My anxiety seems to be the worst in the morning. Should I just get up and take my lorazepam to calm myself down? I just don't like to be so dependent on that. I already feel like I have a drug hangover from taking lorazepam and trazadone the night before for sleep.
Anyone got any suggestions for morning routines?

Maddog,
I was on lorazepam for a few months and it always used to make me feel like I was in such a daze within 15-20 minutes of taking it. I eventually worked with the doc to get off of it because I didn't like the dependency either.
I just started going to bed at the same time every night and setting an alarm for the morning. The routine can really help your brain. I also found waking up just a little early in the morning helped with my stress so that I had a little bit of quiet time to deep breathe (my heart would race when I woke up) and read or watch a tv show I like. Sounds weird but I found comfort in watching the same show when I found myself anxious. I watch Roseanne. It's mindless tv and it makes me laugh. I also chose a few episodes I really like and watch those over again. It's a good go-to, might work for you, might not. Give it a shot.
