Hello all
I've been suffering from anxiety for years and I'm sick of it. I've been on lexapro for 3 to 4 years but still have attacks ,in fact dealing with some symptoms as we speak.
Sometimes I feel so alone, people don't understand. I seem to get symptoms a lot during work, I really don't know why I have a great job and work with great people.
I tend to worry a l lot and my mind never seems to stop.
Anyway I could go on and on but I'm sure many of you deal with the same things, so I figured at least I may speak with people who understand.............
I will defeat this illness ( positive mental attitude) one day but in the mean time I will deal with it one day at a time...
thanks for reading....

Hi,

I am going through the same thing. Everything to be grateful and happy about, but still have anxiety. It's our mind and it's strong, but we need to be the boss and rule it. Do u take meds?

Hey BFS,

One of the factors in getting you away from anxiety is one that you'd mentioned in your post friend, worry alot about everything..That's why anxiety has such power over you. One day, not too long ago, I told myself and programmed it into my own head that I AM NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING OR ANYONE because worry is fears best friend and worry never helps to change anything you're worried about anyway.. I stepped away from Mr. Anxiety, he had power and control long enough...

Hey WBABS,

You've already got it! Flip the switch in yer brain and re-program it to "FUKITOL" mode...It doesnt mean that you become instantly numb to those around you that you care about, you still care about them as your kids, family, friends...You just turn off the "dumbs**t worry mode" function and let life roll as it is going to roll with or without your interpretation or input.. It is, what it is!...There ya go!
