Hi,

For the past ten years I've been suffering from GAD. It started right after my daughter was born. I was very sick with GAD because the DR's never found anything wrong with me. I went through a really rough period as I would like to call it. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks because I was so out of it. I really can't remeber when I stopped haveing aniexty attacks but I did, with the help of medication and therapy. I would say my symptoms were alseep for about 6 or 7 years. Then all of a sudden this year 2012 around March I started to feel really sick I would have what seemed like hot flashes and nervousness along with tingling of my arms and face. I was terrified so I went to see the doctor like 6 times in the month of March. The rest you can say is history. This particular month (August) has been the WORST, I can no longer sleep without Xanax, and i feel out of it most of the time. I'm always scared of dropping dead having a brian anyuersm or a stroke. This time around it feels so different I'm totally convinced it's not my aniexty. I cant function anymore. I have tingling in my arms face and feet all the time!!! and I'm bascially just waiting to die! Ive gone to the DR's several times and they say I have nothing! What how can they say that we I fell so sick!!! Does anyone out there feel the same way?? With the same symptoms???. Please I feel like I'm going crazy!!!

Your GAD had returned which is very common. Anxiety triggers physical processes in the body such as adrenaline rushes - that's the tingling you feel. You aren't going to have a stroke and you aren't "going crazy", you have GAD, (and panic disorder if you are having panic attacks). See a psychiatrist. Other specialists can't do anything for GAD but psychiatry has good treatment options and you can get your life back.
