I can hang out with people fine and get along with them. But I always have the constant worry people don't like me. Or that they don't really want to hangout with me. I know it's not true, I've been told that I'm a good person and awesome to be around. But it stops me from getting close to people. I also sometimes have trouble paying attention to what people say because of this anxiety, I'm always busy worrying. I'm on a 10 mg dose of citalopram. But I don't feel like its helping. Any suggestions?

Also. I find that at night my anxiety worsens. I get the tight stomach, feel like crying, etc. I get stressed and angry super easily. Could this be signs of something else?

Aly... I know it's not easy, but, you gotta learn to not care what people think. If they say you're awesome to be around, you are. Listen to them. Most people, including myself, don't give themselves enough credit.
The symptoms are not abnormal, I get like that from time to time. Def anxiety.

I find my anxiety goes up as the sun goes down. I dunno what causes that, but I'm the same way.

I use to feel that way until I finally realized I was truly my own worst critic. Also Ally you might want to go to 20mg of celexa as 10mg is just half the base dose. Alankay

I am dealing with extreme anxiety regarding my looks and my weight. I am ashamed to go in public and am fearful of anyone making a comment about how fat or ugly I am. I hate my looks because I have gained weight in grad school. Gained a masters degree and job, and got way uglier. Ah help with strategies to go out and try to be myself?

AleyCat, you don't want to practice mindreading, because everyone is different. Therefore, it's impossible to read other people's minds.

Thanks you. Is it safe to just switch? Or should I consult with the doctor first?
