The feeling of your throat closing off? Anyone else have this?

I often have the feeling that my throat is getting smaller. Like its closing. It freaks me out a lot.
Does anyone else get this? And do you know anything to help?

Yes all the time my doc said its cuz your muscles in your throat criss cross so when they tense it feels like your throat is closing but its not. The only way to calm it down ive found is to accept it is 100% anxiety and it wont hurt you, take the fear out of the cycle!!

I also get this. I drink cold water to try and help. But what mostly helps me is to realize that I've had that sensation plenty of times before and it's never harmed me. It's just one of those anxiety physical symptom we have to accept.

This still happens to me when I'm about to go somewhere busy. Like a supermarket etc. I accept it now and it goes
