Anyone take the beta blocker Metoprolol? If so how much and your thoughts.

I took some of it a couple years ago to help with heart palpitations of the 'irregular beat' variety. Back then, I had them pretty much constantly, and while me and my family suspected it could have been stress, that was never really verified by anyone.
I unfortunately forget the dosage that I took, but I think I took it once a day. It didn't feel like it helped all the time, but it worked. I don't remember any side effects to speak of. I only had 10 tablets, though, so I can't speak for anything in the long term. Your mileage might vary, I guess.
If you're using it for anxiety, I can't really help you too much there. But at least you have one report of 'no side effects at the typical dosage used for palpitations'.
