I have been taking cold medicine for the past month at the beginning I had a severe sinus infection an then for the past week I have been taking it because I have had a cold and the flu. Since I started taking it for a sinus infection that my anxiety and constant crazy fear has been through the roof, is that normal?? My thoughts have been racing more and I feel like I'm going crazy and I'm afraid of having a panic attack over irrational things! Any advice would be great

That list of ingredients promotes calm/sedation/relaxation in most people. Especially with that (doxy) in it..that is a strong sedative actually... The (phenyl) was added after the big ordeal over the (pseudoephedrine) stimulant/cooking/meth heads,,The (phenyl) is less stimulating..but will raise BP so if you already have high BP, then its going to be even higher=thinkin yer havin panic attacks because it may even slightly increase yer core body temp..number of different variables on this one but generally speaking "normal people types" would go zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz on this OTC cold remedy..

As I re-read your post, 2 words stand out to me "sinus infection"? Is this an actual diagnosis from your Dr, or you just suspect it because the mucus and or phlegm is a weird color?...

Reason I'm asking is because if this is an actual "infection" of this sinuses, then that left untreated without an anti-biotic and then throwing in something to just "mask" the actual infection instead of "attacking" the infection itself may be the exact reason why yer experiencing this state of panic.. Just some thoughts to ponder friend.

I am just guessing its a sinus infection, I don't have insurance so no doctor or antibiotics for me. I wish the medicine made me sleep but it doesn't.

Yawn..I cant sleep either, even though I have every sleep-aid known to man. If your mucus is "an odd yellow or at times nasty green" then that is almost always a sign of an infection, if not..infection is unlikely. The ONLY other thing that this could be then is the "decogestant" ingredient in this med. The (dextro) part of it. One way to find out, get another brand that does not have (dextro) in it as a decon.. Its 230am here so zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz after another sleeping pill.yay
