What have been some of your withdrawal effects from Klonopin. Haven't been on it long, only about a month and a half, .5 mg once a day. Now down to .25 mg every other day and feel horrible!

It is a very long acting benzo.. The only problem with this med in this benzo class is just that, LOOOONNNGGGG AAAACCCCCTTTTTIIIInnnnGGGGG...It stays in your system for quite awile, makes most people extremely "loopy, lethargic, dazed, confused, and forgetful"... Being on it for a month er two, the withdrawels will actually be quite minimal other then you'll STILL remain "groggy' for a few days even after you stop ingestion completely. IMO not my favorite benzo for anxiety/panic as the short action benzos are way better for peeps with "high anxiety" and they work within minutes, the klonopin takes up to 2 hours in some to reach full effect. Therefore making it a terrible choice if you have "panic attacks"... You wanna feel better and more energetic tomorrow?...Go get some siberian ginseng root...That will offset this "slower then a slimy slug" feeling yer probably experiencing right now...(My daughter was once prescribed this, I gave her $100 to open a checking account for her 1st apt and shot at "adulthood".. She went to the bank, took the $100 out...and forgot about doing it. Then the problem arose when we filed an investigation as to who took MY $100???....Guess what? It was HER at the ATM on camera. The detective wished to question MY DAUGHTER about it, of which I didnt understand...I took her in to discuss it, she came out crying..I immediately went into "you have harmed my offspring mode" and stood up in the officers face to render him incapable of function..2 other officers approached quickly and said "It was your daughter on film surveilance taking the money sir"...but we are not pressing fraud charges on her, we know that she did not intend to embezzle $100 from a bank.. I calmed, I apoligized, we left,...no more klonopin.. TMI?...You needed to see this, and read this... Get off that stuff asap.
