I am exactly like this, I have different symptoms but I am so scared of dying. Which is why I keep going around in circles because I get symptoms and think I am dying

I get

Sweats in mornings and sometimes in day
Chest pains or mild tightness
Tingling n tightness in jaw neck and head
Racing and obsessive thoughts bout being sick and dying of numbers of illness
Frequent urination at times
Mild constipation
Tiredness
Blurry vision or sometimes spaced out and detached
Appetite changes sometimes not hungry or over hungry
Excessive burping
Itching sometimes
Light pains all over

I don't know what to think sometimes if I'm internals sick or its just anxiety I hate this feel like I'm dying of multiple cancers or infections :(

I get lightheaded sometimes. Blurred vision. Tired eyes, heart palpitations, racing pulse, spaced out, stomach issues, bloating, weak legs, depth perception seems off sometimes when I'm walking, constant lip and mouth biting.

Hi, I am new and hoping talking to other might help me, mostly because every time I try to talk to someone about my symptoms they think I am being stupid. I have had anxiety before where I can't eat and get tired and sad, but this time roun I have that plus more, I feel shaky as well as feeling a little dizzy which in my case is making me feel worst as the reason I am so anxious is because I am worried I will get really sick. It sucks because this has been happening for a few weeks and I am wanting to feel normal again.

I know exactly what you mean. When my anxiety started years ago my biggest fear was gettin sick with some kind of new illness thst no one could diagnose. And it kinda happened. I was sick for a month, puking, unable to sleep. My school nurse said I was faking it to skip drama at school because I didnt have a fever. My pediatrician thought I was the virgin mary, pregnant before ever engaging in sex. FINALLY we learned I was infected with a parasite from bad tap water. I am emetaphobic and have chronic anxiety. When people near me get sick or hurt I start to panic cause I am scared that I am next. Actually having a slight attack now. Id call it a level 5. Because I think I over ate. And we were watching The Americans and it was too intense and serious for me. Between the prostitution and rape for the KGB, I just felt like it was inhuman. And it freaked me out that anyone would treat a person like they were less than human. When I was a kid my babysitter forced us to eat everything on our plate. I told her I couldn't but she made me. She stuffed me so full I puked and I've been traumatized since. I cant stand it when I feel full or stuffed cause im constantly afraid it will happen again. Puking scares me because I cant breathe. I need to be able to breathe. My doctor found that I am vitamin deficient. And the supplements with celexa is slowly making it much easier to cope. But there are still bad days like today where I need a klonopin, disney channel, and this forum.

You're okay! Its just your mind running wild. When i start to worry too much it helps to take a hot shower. It relaxes all your muscles and makes you more comfortable. Take deep breathes.

I just woke up from sleep with pain in my lower abdomen. My ex used to tell me its just gas. And I am menstrating. However I immediately became really warm and shaky because of the fear that I might be/get sick. Could really use someone to just talk to for a little bit.

Hi everyone I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I always lived with anxiety but lately it is getting worse with new symptoms which creates even more anxiety. I am currently fainting and experiencing headaches and ringing and clicking in ears. It's so frustrating that I get dizzy and my head feels full also my neck is extremely stiff feels like stone. My doctor says that ringing in ears is also an anxiety symptom and I came across a list of symptoms in this forum just now which helped a lot and had almost everything I feel all the time (tingling and numbness, headaches, neck pain, ringing in ears).

While these are most likely anxiety symptoms since you have anxiety, its always wise to get tests done to rule out other problems.

I am actually a hypocondriac myself therefore i already had an mri of neck and brain and ct scan and also blood tests. I never accepted that these could be symptoms of anxiety but I am turned down by all doctors at this point therefore I must accept this!

I'm so glad I saw that list. I always new I had some anxiety. I never new the severity of it though. I was having numbness in my face and fingers, felt dizzy and faint in social situations, and like alot of you i grind my teeth in my sleep. I am always tired and feel like I have no energy but i can't sleep. When I finally fall asleep my boyfriend wakes me up because he can't take hearing me grind my teeth. It's frustrating.

I haven't thrown up yet, but I'm constantly nauseous. I've lost a lot of weight, and have no appetite. I do have hope it won't always be this way.

Does anyone have high anxiety that compounds into extreme muscle tension/muscle pain/pulsing pain or tingling feelings in areas on your body? It always seems to come and go, its never all of the time.

Most of mine is tension in general. Biting my mouth. Finding myself with muscles tensed instead of relaxed.

I've had this, that's what scared me the most, made me think I was riddled with a disease all over my body, in some places more than others and at different times of the day. I've put it down to the body being in shock and exhausted from the anxiety!

Hi,
Im new to this forum so hello to you all! I suffered from anxiety symptoms for almost 3 years with depression also. I am at a point in my life where I see these symptoms for what they truly are. An unrealistic representation of situations that my mind tells my body to feel.
I now feel stronger than before I had anxiety and depression mainly because instead of taking the medication that I was told to take (which made me feel worse! ), I didn’t just read about the ways that could help me become better, I actually started to do them and ignore what these symptoms were telling me. That’s when I realised that they are not real! Ive had every symptom, believe me! But I wanted someone to tell me and actually show me the ways, the food to eat, morning routines, ambitions! Well Im now feeling good and seek improvements every day. I willing to talk to people who feel like how I felt when I had nowhere to turn to, I want to give back. I appreciate my life and im going to give my time to people that want it. No cost. If you are interested then please let me know on this thread.

I am not a professional and not 100% anxiety free ( no one on this planet is! ) but I believe I am on the right path. just keep believing! Thanks for reading!

i have had so many of these symptoms it makes me laugh. over the last month or 2 i have had an intense fear of having brain cancer it has turned into an obsessive thought, i think about it all day every day im self conscious about EVERYTHING i do, i think about my movements the littlest of sensations i get everything and im so over it im 17 years old and i find it ridiculous i never would of guessed i would be going through all this anxiety about cancer i've been trying so hard to get over it i think this site is going to help though because im reading things about how people feel and experience the same things as i do from feeling like im going crazy, feeling severely overwhelmed by life in general, tingling in my head, feeling dizzy, many others... just thought i'd share my story because it makes me feel a little bit better and this is my first time on this site thanks for listening if you did lol

Hey man, i can relate 100% to everything you said. I basically got really stressed from finals, the semester ending, having to move back home and thus missing my friends. Then every little thing started making me thing I had a brain tumor and I even posted on a Brain cancer forum and they all say I'm fine (nothing really related to it) and my doctor told me it was all anxiety. It's been a constant struggle to be honest and it's crazy how if you don't think about you feel awesome but as soon as you start dwelling on it you regress. I'm still new to this whole deal and still and struggling but I can say you're not alone and were here for you. The best thing I have found is to just do something to take your mind off of it. It's about slowly building confidence to live your life again and not let the feeling that you're dying affect you because in reality you're healthy. Hope this helps, you're not alone :)

so many symptoms relative to me there its astounding.my main gripe is burning in the throat/chest lasting hours (scheduled for endoscopy in 2 weeks) and the chest pains that shoot around as if i was having a heart problem it has taken me weeks but i caught it one day and said to myself 'that's just an anxiety pain it wont hurt me and it wont kill me so don't worry' and voila once i started believing it the pains go away! my heart has weird stuff like off key rhythms in the morning and inappropriate tachycardia when going up stairs or during work.i have had a full medical work up and they said my hearts perfect after troponin tests which are the most highly sensitive heart scan i have seen.Anyhow, heart worries and stomach and digestion are my main ones i have been through the rest lol crazy changeable anxiety.

This question is for women, please answer if you can. I have pain in my left arm, shoulder, it feels like my left breast hurts too. Anyone can relate to that??? Thanks

Yes, I just recently started having panic attacks and thought I was having a heart attack or something fatal happening. I went to the dr for help and it was only my panic attacks that were causing this pain. They finally have calmed down after getting some medicine. My breast was in a lot of pain, under my arm especially my arm. It would go numb. I can mostly tell when I'm about to have one when my left arm starts hurting and going numb and the left of my chest hurts.

I'm wondering if anyone else feels like they have something wrong with their brain? Like a tumor or something. I've been feeling pain the my head behind my ears and just a lot of head problems, ive never had panic attacks until 2 weeks ago. But since its started its been a every day/night battle. Like I can't get a break from it. I can't sleep and when I do sleep it doesn't feel like enough. And do your veins pop out very badly when it's this bad? I can see pretty much every vein on my body. My dr. Said it might be do to losing to much carbon but I'm still worried because it seems to be getting worse. Some are even the little veins you wouldn't see, and their purple not blue.

I don't think its bad that your veins do that but I constantly worry about it.

This is awesome I have been having severe panic attacks that leave me believing I'm having a heart attack. I've gone to the ER 13 times and my heart and test come back fine. Its been several days since the last attack but today I had a different expierence which had me ready to gho to the ER again since I wasn't panicking my legs were sharp pain numb my head chest throat felt heavy no rapid heart beat or anything slight chest pain....but a sudden heavy un normal sleepiness hit me hard. Before I ran to ER again my mom sent me the list...and I'm okay just leg cramping to my feet......thanks for this site....I know now that I need to talk to my DR and treat the anxiety before it takes over even more then it has. Oh yeah night time evenings are the worst...but i.m constantly worried about panicking in public.

Yes I think this everyday!!!! For the past 7 months or so. I have had really weird pressure in my head sometimes. It will feel heavy and like there's liquid of something in it. I also have really big blind spots in my eyes when I concentrate on something and move my head to the sides is when I can see them. Sometimes ill feel very weak then it will feel like my heart completely stops then I will notice and it will start racing really hard and fast because I panic. I feel like I'm numb thought my body a lot when I get the weird lightheadedness

I have my symptoms most of the day everyday.
It is mainly due to me trying to fight off a bad attack.
I always feel so tired...panic attacks take a lot out of me.
Sometimes I sleep just so I don't have to feel the panic attacks or the symptoms anymore...that is until I wake up.
This morning I woke up feeling full of panic because of something semi minor.
It kinda set the day for the feelings of panic to set in.

I know same here. I thought I am better then the anxiety is back again and I had Vertigo and it triggers the anxiety. I called in sick hoping I can rest and relax but worst bec I am bymyself now and I am more anxious being alone. Sucks. You tell your Family and friends how you feel and they tell you, why are you nervous and I would say I don't know

JustAnotherAttack

I mostly keep my panic attacks to myself. Nobody understands who doesn't have them.
That makes me feel sad and more scared, but truthfully I cannot expect them to believe in something so strongly if they never felt it.
I was thinking maybe I have vertigo because my mom had it and when I told her what I was feeling she said that it sounds just like when she had vertigo.
I hate riding out panic attacks...I simply try to fight them as hard as I can.

First time poster to this site, But a long time lurker. I had a bad dream last night that I was in the hospital and was told that I was going to die of a blood clot to the heart, this was actually so realistic that I woke up actually thinking I was going to die. It's the next morning now and altho I have shaken some of the anxiety off, I still feel very jittery and shakey with an upset stomach. Hence why I am here trying to make myself feel better.

My post will probably be a long one(writing about It makes me feel better lol). I know where my anxiety comes from, I lived with my mother her sister and my grand parents from I was about 2 (I am 23 now) and when I was about 8/9 my aunty who I lived with passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack, this happened in my house. Ever since then I've always had a fear about my heart. A few years later my Grandmother passed away, and a few years after that my grandfather. This was 3 people in my life who I was so close to that passed away. When I was around 13 my mother took ill one day (her blood cells were attacking her immune system) and this led her to loose movement in her legs, leaving her unable to walk. She had to be retaught everything, She did rel-learn everything but she was never really the same again. I looked after her since the age of 13, I think she also suffered with depression and anxiety(I think mine got worse because I sort of fed off her anxiety, if you know what I mean. Anyway at the age of 22 my mother passed away from unrelated illnesses (she got an infection and then took phenunioa sp?) and she was unable to fight it. At the age of 23 now I am filled with severe anxiety all the time which stems from all these traumatic events that have happened in my life. I have been for ECG'S blood tests anything you can think of. They told me that I have an irregular beat, that most (normal lol) functioning people actually have and can live with without any knowledge of) but mine is heightened through my aneity, which is why I feel it more. I am constantly checking my pulse which drives me insane, even tho I know nothing is wrong ofcourse I convince myself otherwise. I always think I have an untectected serious illness, like cancer or a brain tumour, something that can kill me. Although I can go through periods of time when I am more relaxed and calm, It always comes back when I am going through a stressful time. It was recently the year anniversary of my mothers passing and my anxeity has shot through the roof, casuing these bad dreams that I have a serious illness and that I am going to die. The semi fucntional and rational part of my brain knows that this is all in my head, but still I cannot shake this fear. reading these forums helps me to realise that I am not the only one going through these things, I am lucky I have a very large family and supportive boyfriend who know about my anxiety issues and help me through it, but unless you actually go through it I don't believe they can truly understand.

I told you this was going to be long lol, I just needed to vent to make myself feel better, and It has :) is anyone eleses anxiety related to the loss of loved ones? I think because I have seen so much in my life that I am constantly worried about my health, which I think Is quite a normal reaction for someone who has been thorugh what I have :) any

Wow, I have so many of the symptoms on that list. It makes me feel confident of one thing at least: I have some kind of anxiety disorder.

The thing about eyesight especially rings true. I thought I was going blind or something but it ties in perfectly with the other symptoms. I have had so much trouble with eye strain and foggy or patchy vision lately. Medically I'm fine (I had it checked out) but I've been incredibly stressed and worried about things generally.

I find the experience of anxiety almost wholly physical and realky debilitating.
For me, it is tingling in my feet and hands and being physically sick.

I do feel this. Like my neck can't support the weight of my head. It leads to me hunching my shoulders and I have terrible posture because of it.

Hi all. I am new here. I started getting chest pain on Saturday night, and Monday morning at 2am I made my husband wake up my 14 month old, and take me to the er. The did a EKG , blood work and X-rays. Said my heart was fine. I am 30 years old in good health. I've had a lot of stress over the past couple of years, and wondering if everything is just now catching up with me. I get random pains on and off on the left side of my chest, and it'll move across my chest and get knots. I also get shortness of breath and tired. Please tell me this is anxiety. It has now been on and off since sat, but it'll last up to a few hours. Can anyone give me advice on how to deal, any one experience what I am? Please help. Ty

Thank you for this list!

Before I knew what it was I had terrible feelings of unreality. I constantly felt that I was not present in the moment. Like I was watching my own life happen from afar. I couldn't live my life and I didn't know why. I started to give up trying. I finally talked to my doctor about it and tried to explain what was going on. He opened up a book about anxiety and depression and had me read a certain page. It essentially detailed what I had just told him. I immediately felt better just knowing what was going on. Eventually we adjusted my medication and got it under control. But just that moment of knowing what was happening to me was like ending a year long panic attack.

I wake up at night in panic attacks. I can have hyperactivity then fatigue, racing hart, body shaking, sometimes crying, spaz out in front of others. The worst is waking up in a panic for no reason. My night time medication has helped with this a lot thank god.

Hey :) panic attacks will not harm you, I used to suffer from 6 -8 panic attacks everyday, so i know what it's like. knowing that the symptoms are not hurting you, try not to fear them, panic attacks only exist because of you fearing the symptoms.

I've had anxiety since I was 20 (now 27). It has come and gone, but got a lot worse this past year with a bunch of major life changes. My symptoms change, and are never the same. Lately, I wake up and feel good, only to get hyperactively anxious when going to school. I also have a hard time concentrating for long periods of time.

The worst symptom lately, however, is fatigue. I've never been as tired as I have been lately. I'm tired throughout the day, I don't recover from my workouts at the gym. I went from running 4-5 miles without stopping to running 1, and then getting tired. I also get tired at 8pm at night. I typically get around 7 hours of sleep a night, so I'm going to try to get 8 or 9. But I'm wondering if other people have the same symptoms? Do you get fatigued easily? Or should I worry that I have Chronic fatigue syndrome, or MS, or ALS, or cancer, or something else weird?! My anxiety was getting better, until I started having this fatigue :/

So many of those in that list can go under depression. I have yet to find an answer if there is any out there regarding how to know which is starting first. Depression than anxiety or anxiety than depression? Myself it feels like anxiety comes first and it triggers the feelings from the list above that one could mistaken for depression.

"Mind

* Desensitization, depersonalization
* Fear of going crazy
* Fear of losing control
* Fear of impending doom
* Feelings of unreality
* Frequent feeling of being overwhelmed, or that there is just too much to handle or do
* Having difficulty concentrating
* Obsession about sensations or getting better
* Repetitive thinking or incessant mind chatter
* Underlying anxiety, apprehension, or fear
* You often feel you are carrying the world on your shoulders

Mood

* Always feeling angry and lack of patience
* Depression
* Feeling down in the dumps
* Feeling like things are unreal or dreamlike
* Frequently being on edge or 'grouchy'
* Frequently feel like crying for no apparent reason
* Have no feelings about things you used to
* Underlying anxiety, apprehension, or fear
* You feel like you are under pressure all the time"

Anyone has these symptoms? please reply!!

muscle twitching,
-waking up with numb fingers that went away when I moved them
-stiff muscles, overall weakness
-weird feeling on my chin/ lower lip. (i feel kind of a phantom feeling whenever i touch my chin, like, i touch it once with a pen and feel it right below as well, can't really explain, like touch it once and feel it in a different spot on the chin also).
-sometimes i see different shades of colors from each eye, like if there was a filter on one of them, one eye sees more blueish tones, the other more reddish tones for example. It happens mostly when lying down.

Yes. I have. Ive also had both my pupils dilate to the point where you could barely see any iris.

I also occasionally get different colours in each eye like theres a filter over my vision. One blue-ish, one rose-ish. Especially in the morning. Anyone else get this ?

I also get this.. do you still have it?

A lil but of both I'm tring to drink more water and there are no other symptoms other than me obsessing my medical is pending and been tring to get through to them I had this problem before and when they did UA everything was clear u dunno :/

A couple things really.

Darker colour urine is common in dehydration, but also it's true to the phrase "you are what you eat" it in this case drink. Energy drinks, coffee and fruit juices can all cause darker coloured urine (harmless and natural). Dark urine with a strong odour and pain/blood present would likely be a UTI.

If you gave no other symptoms (ie discoloured eyeballs/skin/fever/severe back pain) it's unlikely to be anything related to the liver/kidneys (unless it's kidney stones, but you WOULD be in pain).

If you are experiencing a weak flow of urine this can sometimes be related to anxiety in the form of stress related prostatitis (totally harmless ) swelling of the prostate through tension (nothing to do with any related problems) this can cause weak flow, pain in the urethra and a hard/swollen/painful perineum.

I drink 7 up sometimes and my eating habits are not so good, but mostly water and sometimes vitimin water, I think the dizzyness and tightness in certian areas of my body are from anxiety, I did have a kidney stone last may was 5 mm I did pass it ct didn't show damage but it was no contrast, I'll stop there before I start obsessing on them missing somthing, I like your post a lot and tring to use them to help me just been a hard week

Prostatitis can cause constipation (but it may be something quite simple also)

Prostate swelling us usually as a result of infection, or in cases of extreme stress (anxiety), it's like giving your manhood a headache, it can cause ED also, and normally affects men under 50.

Ps don't even think of escalating to thoughts of cancer (this affects men over 60), and entirely unrelated.

Oh and the cure.............relax and de stress.

Could blood in the urine be due to anxiety? I had loads of blood in my urine one evening in March, then again in the morning two days later. I saw an emergency doctor who took a urine sample, which came back normal. The doctor said if I had kidney cancer then I would most likely have microscopic blood in my urine too. He felt my stomach and back for any lumps in my kidneys but couldn't find anything abnormal. I haven't had any blood in my urine since. The only thing I can think of is that stress/anxiety caused my kidneys to malfunction somehow, since my mind was working in overdrive last month!

Hi purple9812,
Was the blood a bright red or dark like black coffee? I had a kidney stone 20 years ago and pee looked like coffee. Had it a couple more times and it went away. But then I got the PAIN. Kidney stones hurt like hell. I was sitting in the kidney stone center and two ladies were talking in front of me and one said to the the other " i have had 2 kids naturally that did not hurt as bad as this kidney stone" scared the hell out of me. I literally drink at least a gallon of water EVERY day. never had another one (knock on wood).
Dark blood usually means it is up in the kidney and a brighter blood means that it's probably working it's way down the "tube" or in your bladder. You probably passed a stone! congrats. They are jagged and sharp little bastards.
Blood was not from anxiety but it will give you anxiety until your reassured it's nothing serious.

What a list! And yet, it's something that doesn't actually 'effect' our bodies, according to doctors. Crazy. I have one to add to the list: hives This one is fairly new to me (suffering anxiety is too though and I'm convinced that something causes anxiety. Not just our minds.) But yesterday, for the first time ever in my life, I broke out in hives for no apparent reason and when something happens for no apparent reason, I'm always told it's anxiety.

Is anyone experiencing such issues like those ? I see few times per day flashes of light in my eye ( for example i open my fridge or look at book while reading near light source and i see something that looks exactly like light source/bulb flash when bulb is going to blow) and i also cant focus my eyes on many things for example stars at sky or even moon (sometimes when i look at moon its shaking a bit or floating). Those two problems are most annoying for me but i had/have many more issues which would fit to anxiety and i did all tests i could and everything is ok. atm i use tianeptine (coaxil) since 4 months but it just helps to dont care TOO much about it. The worst thing is that it comes out always when i think about it or few minutes later and those are not rapid strikes but i feel like it for most of day (its weaker at the evening).

As I already have a balance disorder, without any anxiety, I always have a bit of vertigo. But, my anxiety adds to the vertigo what's already there, it's like I'll be calm with slight vertigo then something triggers a sense of dread and it feels like you have just set off on a rollercoaster! What are the best ways to manage anxiety like this when it seems so dangerous with my vertigo? Normally I wait until I have an attack then act, but with this that's just to risky.

Note: I'll post on this thread quite often since I'm a hypochondriac

Joe, you just described it perfectly. I am at work now and my throat felt like it was closing up a little bit, and I read your post and it made me laugh and feel better, because I was literally thinking that.

Thanks for the help!

I experienced a lot of the symptoms listed. However today I had some type of attack that I had no thoughts but for asking for help and going to hospital. I was crying screaming, making weird noises when I wanted to speak. Started hitting myself, and could not stop shaking / spasms. Is this normal or is it something else ?

Oh its alluring

My big anxiety is sex. My views on sex are this...Having a (strong) sex drive has ruined my life. These addictions; -masturbation, - sexual lust, - guilt, - escort services. I will never act out a sexual need in my life ever again. Sexual activity, overall I feel is a curse.

The sexual energy that our culture feeds on is massive. Look at the porn 'industry' and how it ruins lives. F*ck sex, no pun intended.

I've had this headache stemming from my eyes and forehead all day. Last night I had three shots of alcohol and I smoked less than a owl of weed. This morning the headache, no appetite, no motivation to do anything. Went to the gym and even that couldn't throw me out of my funk. I have a fleeting suspicion the weed caused this, it's been my fixation for two years and now when I get back to it, no good.

I saw the list too at the before mentioned anxietycentre.com very helpful! However, I was searching threads and saw another list someone had complied that included "breast pain, sensitivity and burning" in addition to most of the ones above. Is that one anyone of you have experienced? I have. Take care all!

Getting a numb patch on my left cheek right now, got it the other day too. I had it quite bad at work and then it sort of dissipating into an itchy tingling all over my face, particularly my nose as well as sneezing so I think it might be my sinuses aggravating me. It's annoying when you can't always distinguish between what is anxiety and what is an actual 'problem'. It could be one or the other, or it could be both working in tangent.

Currently I feel pressure and some pain in my chest and under my arms, my arms themselves feel weak.My eyes are sore from lack of sleep, my sides ache and I have a rash on my arm that is itchy and will no doubt be gone in a few hours. Yes, I get a lump in the throat quite often and twitching/shaking/jolts. I also notice perceived weakness quite often, but as far as I'm aware this is largely because I/you are simply hyperaware of our hands (or whichever body part).

Smells and tastes are common. More so tastes for me, metallic like blood was in my mouth. Seeing things in corner of eye can happen too. Eye tricks they call them. You can see flashing lights, or feel you blinked and you didn't. As well as haziness in the eyes, floating blurs and such.

She did an FBC and it all came back normal but said im anemic due to iron deficiency and put my weightloss down to stress. So ive been on iron suppliments for the past 3 months, I dont seem to be putting any weight back on and im feeling sick and scared im going to die everyday. If I had something wrong with me would it show up in a routine FBC im so scared I sit in my room everyday as im frightened to go outside incase something happens to me. Its a real feeling. I dont have any friends to talk to im so alone worried this might be cancer or something serious. Not sure if ive posted this in the right forum still trying to find my way around

Got a touch of brain fog the last couple of days, where you feel you might pass out or that you're kinda swimming through everything. I also get numbness on my face, although it's mainly the edge of my face and occasionally the tips of my mouth. It only really seems to happen at night before bed, so I'm wondering if it's partly fatigue (sometimes my eyelid twitches if I haven't slept well) plus I'm getting pressure pain on my right ear. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I have TMJ on top of everything. I haven't really been anxious for a good while but I guess I've been stressed, plus the days are so dark now.

It's deeply unpleasant but what can you do? :(

My symptoms which have been with me for about 7 months now:

Constant pressure in the head.
Foggy brain, cloudy thoughts, confusion.
Twitching in my face and temples.
Feeling of doom or dread like something terrible is going happen.
Feeling like I am going crazy or that my mind is going to completely deteriorate.
Racing heart.
Racing thoughts.
States of mania where I talk really fast and do things at double the speed I normally would.
Constant fatigue.
Trouble sleeping - early waking.
Trembling and butterflies in the stomach.
Trouble concentrating and memory problems.
Seeing things out of the corner of my eye.
Things feel like they are going in slow motion for a few seconds.
Feeling like there is something outside of myself, like an entity crowding around me, hard to describe.

Not much fun to be honest!!

Has anyone ever had heart palpitations like this? It was a lot worse than what I normally have and was wondering if anyone else has experienced them :/

I was lying in bed trying to have a nap, not especially anxious at that moment (maybe subconsciously) when all of a sudden my heart began racing and beating quite erratically, not evenly but with two beats in very quick succession and then a pause in between. It slowed down a little bit after maybe 15 seconds but kept beating irregularly for another 15 or so. I've just had an ECG and chest x-ray only a couple of days ago and I think the results were fine, so I think I'll probably chalk it up to having had a bad/stressful day and being really sleep deprived at the moment.

That said, has anyone else had this?

Emilym80
01-30-2015, 05:00 AM
Yes, I have them fairly often. So bad at the office one day, I had to sit down I was so dizzy (but that was probably anxiety kicking in at that point). I was taking a fish omega 3 twice a day, morning and night, and I read on this forum that fish omegas can cause palpitations. So I cut out the morning pill and that seems to have helped. I had holter test and was told that palpitations like this are normal and not to worry. Easily said... Knowing other people have some of these symptoms help. Bad/stressful days and sleep deprivation do not help, that's for sure. Take care!

Thank you very much! Yes, it is a relief to know that others have the same experience. I have actually been taking Omega 3 supplements recently to help my asthma... Maybe that's it, or the medication I take for it. Who knows! I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow anyway so I can clarify but thank you again for your response :)

Hiya I am new to this forum! I have joined an anxiety forum as i genuinely have nowhere else to turn :( I am a 29 f and have always had anxiety. But am increasingly getting more anxiety phases.

I find the physical symptoms hardest and they often trigger my attacks to spiral out of control. I was in a meeting today and couldn't get out so had stay in it without anyone else noticing i was freakin out! I was sweating, felt like my ibs was going to explode and head pains. does this sound common?

i often have attacks which consist of feeling weird, spaced out, feels like my arms and legs attached and sweaty palms.

Am i mental?

By "mental" do you mean crazy? If so, then no. If you suffer from an anxiety disorder, then you do, in fact, suffer from a mental disability.

But that is beyond the point. YES, that sounds like a common occurrence for anxiety/panic. In fact, I had something similar happen to me while I was taking a practice exam: my abs tightened up and felt as if they were going to completely snap, and my mind was racing. And for your third paragraph, I feel just like this whenever I have an anxiety attack too.

What was the trigger behind your panic attack in the meeting? Do you know?

I have had anxiety ever since I was a little girl. It is definitely heightened by stress. I work full time and am also doing an MBA masters part time too which puts a lot of pressure on me.

I find it is the physical symptoms which effect me the most. I always seem to have a headache and get random pains all over head and neck. Does anyone else experience this?

The symptom I find strangest is a sort of "unspecified" tension. That is, when I feel tense or on-edge even though there is nothing in particular I can identify that I am concerned about. This is not the most severe stress I suffer -- my anxiety is much worse when there is something in particular that I am worried about -- but I do find it odd to be stressed and anxious about "nothing."

I get this sort of thing too. Usually it begins with something minorly distressing on my mind (if it was something major, then my anxiety would almost exclusively be fixed on THAT, on the contrary) but then it explodes into a huge attack where something feels "off" but I have no idea as to what it is.

As of late, my anxiety has gotten to the point that I feel unable to even speak (as If there is anybody trying to call/Skype me anyway). With that said, I'm finding my voice is getting extremely weak and shaky to the point that I would rather just stay 'muted', and this was never something that was a problem before.

I've seen this happen to others I used to know (ages ago), but never actually thought it would happen to me; but it indeed has.

I don't go out all that much anyway anymore, but when I do, I speak a little as possible because its just mortifying when people notice this.

It's amazing how similar symptoms can be with people who suffer from anxiety. When I first went to my Doctor and had to explain to him how I was feeling, I didn't think I'd be able to describe it correctly and that what I was describing was unique and he might not understand it. After going through some tests to make sure that I wasn't dying from a heart attack he said that I was suffering from anxiety. I remember thinking..Anxiety?!?! but what about these physical feelings I'm having? How can anxiety cause me to feel like i'm about to have a heart attack. After doing some research and reading other peoples symptoms,I was extremely surprised on how similar everyone else's symptoms where to mine. It feels good to know I'm not alone because you do have thoughts of being crazy and alone when going through something like this, especially when people around you tell you "just don't worry".

my symptoms have changed last couple of months, to begin with I was having a lot of trouble concentrating in work, and couldnt keep my legs still, I then had 2/3 weeks worth of being unable to get to sleep-, vision problems etc

Now more recently ive had bad back and neck pain and a sort of numbness feeling in my arms and legs, aswell as constantly being tired

today my anxiety was triggerd by an incident...while talking with a friend, trying to make plans, i switched saturday for sunday(i realised my mistake eventualy)...i was so embarrassed...i seemed to be fine and all of a sudden...i felt like i was chocking and was going to die of dementia ... my concern is that i was fine BEFORE , i was not anxious to have triggered the panic i felt...

the other day, my husband said grandma was leaving town for the day. later on, i asked where she was, my husband reminded me she left....and anxiety again! i remembered exactly the place i was when he said she was leaving, what i was wearing, nuts right??? i remembered him telling me, but why did i ask about her if i knew the answer? i cannot seem to acces information when i need it ! does that happen to anyone else?

could anyone help me with answers? i had neuro consult, says i'm fine (said i was fatigued), i don't take medication , just trying methods to control everything, but sometimes i get confused , i try to remember everything...it cannot be normal to find my jeans in the sock drawer, could it? i don't remember putting them there, never have done that...please help ! do i need to get further testet? is it just lack of concentration ? or the fear of being wrong ? do i put too much pressure on myself ?

thanks for reading this , i await anxiously :p your thoughts

This is a good list for anyone going through a difficult time with their anxiety. We all know that our anxiety can come and go in waves, sometimes lingering for a month or so until we're able to cope again and float with it. Reading this, reminds me that all these feelings are normal, and that, my anxiety will soon fade.

Hey there Danny. I'm Michael. I'm 25 too and I have been feeling like this a lot lately and have been diagnosed with anxiety that I got from smoking cannabis.

I've been assured it's all normal and had numerous checks that came back good.

Hope this helps ya by showing ya that there is others like yourself suffering the same thing and it's related to anxiety.

Best of luck mate.

I have experienced many of these symptoms. The most fearlful one for me is the thought of going insane. I have a son I love dearly and although I'm not a violent person, I think about what causes the parents you hear about in the news snapping and doing the awful things they do...Although, I'm very level headed in most cases, when I'm having my anxiety symptoms I worry that I might just snap. It's a terrifying thought to have. Then he comes walking in the room with his beautiful smile and I know I would never, but the feeling of not being in control is unsettling.

I'm sorry you feel this way! I, myself, have health anxiety that started a few months ago. Perhaps, if you got peace of mind by going for a check up and talk to your doctor about any symptoms. Sometimes, just hearing that you are ok is relief enough. I'm going for a visit myself tomorrow. Good luck!

That can definitely be a sign of anxiety. I have experienced it myself. I felt really foggy for about 3 days. Then I went to a doctor, and the relief of them saying all my vitals were fine almost instantly brought my mind back to clarity.

omg...the fear of going insane...like I am gonna "lose it" then the pressure in my head...can't concentrate, focus, fear based big time.....spaciness....like i am gonna start screaming and never stop....thats the stuff that really scares me....all the trauma i went through, i couldn't scream then, so its like my inner child wants to scream during attack.......this is hell..literally

I wonder if my back spasms are pain in my body wanting to get out b/c the pain knows it shouldn't be there...also w/the anxiety, I can't relax...i can't breathe sometimes....a lot of times i catch me not breathing.....half the time i am dissociated from the present, like "off somewhere" racing thoughts...mind won't shut up.....

Going through this right now with my legs/feet/arms! It's one of the worst symptoms I've ever had, a cold/wet sensation on the skin. Sorry you've been through it but at the same time I'm glad I'm not the only one. Is this really that uncommon a symptom because I rarely see people complain of it.

This question is for women, please answer if you can. I have pain in my left arm, shoulder, it feels like my left breast hurts too. Anyone can relate to that??? Thanks

I have been having the most debilitating chest pains the past few months. I have left work twice and school once to go to the doctor because it was unbearable. Yes, I get pain in both of my arms, especially the left, my heart, my chest, lungs, diaphram, neck, jaw, throat, mouth, head, etc constantly, every day. It comes on before I start to panic, which the doctors say "sometimes your body knows you are panicking before you do." I feel like I have my anxiety more under control now, but the chest pains have become much worse. Constant and like the wind is being knocked out of me... I hope this helps.

yes i have a similar thing. i have had it investigated but it boils down to anxiety. at night and when i get a pressure sensation in my chest i use a back support wrap with the velcro and wrap it tightly round my chest to cancel out the pressure so that i can sleep. its not something i would recommend to do every night but it is an option that i am grateful for. there have been occasions when i have used this method in the day also

For me the biggest struggle at the minute is when I am frustrated or annoyed at someone, I uncontrollably cry. I then get even more upset as I'm getting frustrated at myself for crying. The annoying thing is I don't feel upset, most of the time I want to express my disappointment or the fact I'm annoyed, but I cant possibly get the words out as I'm gasping for air. Takes me ages to calm down and nobody ever takes me seriously.

Occasionally feel like my legs are hollow, like they're made of nothing, plus my head feels kinda light, like I'm having to prop myself up. Very weird plus irritating.

I had a anxiety/panic attack today, when I felt a bit light headed, a bit of chest pain on and off, a bit of trouble breathing and a bit of pain going up the side of my neck. I often freak out and think that it's heart disease related, but I've had a full echo-cardiogram, stress-echo-cardiogram, blood tests and dozens of ECGs. And everything is clear.
I think it's muscle pain from carrying around my 15 month old boy. But my brain snowballs any small pain into this worry of mine. I'm feeling ok now.

I've had many of these symptoms over the years. Lately, my symptoms of panic culminate with a rapid heartbeat. I can deal with almost any of the other symptoms, but this one is the most uncomfortable feeling in the world for me. (Why isn't this scary when we exercise? - perhaps it's the adrenaline and cortisol wreaking having in our body while our hearts beat quickly during a panic attack). Almost every time this occurs, I also have the symptom of needing to get out of wherever I am (car, theater, store, etc.). So the mental aspect of this horrible physical symptom is the incredible need to flee. The racing heart symptom is almost always preceded by something that I subconsciously must think means that something is really wrong with me (trouble breathing in a relaxed manor or a strange sensation / pain in my chest).

ly have a symptom. Does anyone else have symptoms when they're feeling perfectly fine? Do you have weird tingling or numbness? Is it in your face?

I've had the two different sized pupils. Didn't know it was anxiety related. Noticed it a few months ago and while looking in the mirror at the difference it would go back to normal.

I get face numbness also. I got it last week for the first time in the morning. It lasted for about a half an hour. Mostly on my left side and upper lip or tip of nose. It happened again tonight while talking with some friends and and reading Facebook. I don't know why since I was feeling fine. Maybe because I was irritated with my kids more today. I glad that I'm not alone and can relate to others with the same symptoms.

I found a Natural remedy for Anxiety that really works. CBD oil is a Natural remedy for Anxiety.
A month age we found a mint breath spray that has CBD oil in it.
The great thing about CBD is has many medical benefits and no side affects.
