Hi I've just been given fluoxetine for my anxiety I'm a bit worried about the side effects is anyone else taking them

I am not on fluoxetine, I am on setraline, but i do know a few people on fluoxetine..I think like any of them you need to make sure you have the same dose every day and actually let it start to work, unless of course you start to have feelings of suicide or any of the major side effects that will be listed with your packet of meds. I was lucky in the fact I had no extreme side effects from my meds, but I know alot of people where it really is trial and error as sometimes peoples responses to the drug are different.

Yes I am currently taking fluoxetine for 2 months but I am just experiencing major anxiety
That it's hard to function
I am
Taking Xanax as needed but would like advice on what or when this anxiety will subside ?
Everything I read says give more time but I just don't feel like myself when I hv anxiety 4-5 hrs out of day
