This is my 4th week of being on it and after about a week and half of absolutely terrible side effects, I seem to be doing well. I've not had a full blown panic attack in about 2 weeks, no more side effects and I find that my general level of anxiety is considerably less that what it was when I first started. I'm also having a bit better time controlling my invasive thoughts, but I think that's because I am doing everything my therapist suggests to help me. When I started it, I was having full blown panic episodes each day, for nearly two weeks, uncontrollable invasive thoughts that scared the crap out of me and an overwhelming, constant sense of dread.
It's nice to be able to function, but every medication is different for everyone. I was absolutely horrible on Lexapro a few years back...
I didnt do so well on citalopram but now in on my 6th day of sertraline and so far had no side effects, and feel slightly better. Was thinking is it the meds or me cos I heard they can take 2 to 8 weeks to kick in!! And my anxious thinking is become less and less...even managed to stay in the house myself while kids are away and before I would be terrifed to do so...
Hi. I take Desipramine at night and when I wake I take Lorazepam. No side affects and if I don't take the Desipramine I know it the next day.

Zoloft is a very popular med. Gave me the munchies but otherwise found it a good med. I believe it's the most rx'ed ssri in the US. Alankay.
