If you worked at a grocery store, restaurant, any store at all, did you socialize at all with some of your co-workers ? ? ?

I just dont see myself socializing with co-workers and does it get you fired ? ? ? ? ?

I work at a store which I've been at for the last two years, but I didn't say anything to the other co workers until almost a whole year of being there had passed. For me it was a confidence thing, and now I like my job, but I know my social phobia/confidence inhibits me from ever climbing the corporate ladder.

I shouldn't think not being bestest buds with your work mates or customers should get you fired. I think if you were fired for this reason you would have good grounds to sue for wrongful dismissal. As long as you do your job you should be safe.
