I'm currently on 75 mg of Luvox. I had to go up from 50 mg because anxiety was getting out of control. Now anxiety is better but my fatigue is out of control. I'm sleeping 12+ hours and if I take a walk I need a nap after. Would like to hear from folks who have been on multiple meds which they thought were better regarding fatigue.

The real doctors all say not to take those big pharma medz. Most of them don't work, and if they do, they have harmful side effects. I almost developed Parkinson because of those stupid pills.
So you say that even light exercise makes you sleepy? Please be careful, you have to find some natural remedies to help with your anxiety.

Ugh, is this anti-med crud going to be spread all over this forum?
So you had a bad experience with meds. Many many people have had great experiences. Ativan and now lexapro have reduced my anxiety by at least 90% and have allowed me to continue working and not lose my job. Not really any major side effects either.

I am on 15mg lexapro. Not sure if I had fatigue problems (I need to get more sleep). Do you drink coffee? I know it obviously adds to anxiety, so I cut it out after I started getting attacks. But now I drink about 3/4 of a small cup of half-decaf over the course of a few hours, and it's the PERFECT amount of kick. Wakes me up without spiking my anxiety and keeps me feeling great for hours.
Besides that, I'm not sure what you can do. Drugs each have different effects on fatigue. If it's bad enough, talk to your doctor about alternatives that won't do as much.

Yeah the anti med self conviction of the newbie kills me. I think he just should go to the media with his expose' of the medical professionals and be gone already. I have lived with anxiety since 1981 and meds, therapy as well as lifestyle changes and education about anxiety is the answer for most......not all. Someday....in the distant future........ there will be better answers.
Anyway Fash, Prozac is known to be an activating med for those with low energy. Look into that. Alankay

Tnx guys. I can't drink coffee because I get migraines and caffeine causes big problems there. Prozac - yeah works well, easy to modulate the dose, no withdrawal issues, but I get intractable sexual side effects.

Prozac gave me more energy when I first started taking it. My anxiety didn't subside, so I had to up my dosage until it became to much and I became incredibly depressed. I had the energy to do anything, I just didn't want to.
Celexa took away some of my energy, but my anxiety is gone. Finding the right med can be tough, just keep at it.
