The first 2 weeks were very rough for me and I was started on 20mg. Everything but sleep has gotten better and I have been on it for 2 months now. I have to take something to sleep still and still have bad days here and there but no where near what they were dr is wanting to increase me to 40mg but I'm so afraid all those start up side effects will come back. Just stick with in it does get better I would say I am about 80% better :)

mummy22boys is your anxiety better? suppose I was lucky with lexapro as it worked within a week and only had side effects for 2-3 days and minor, I just don't want the 15kg weight gain.....I slept again last night from 10-6.10 am (thats so odd exactly every day) and did not get up, even when I was having endep to sleep I still woke....nausea again today exactly 2 hours after taking tablet....I am so lucky to be a stay at home mum as I could not work....

I also am a stay at home mom thank goodness!!! My anxiety has definitely decreased but is still there some days worse than others which is why I probly need to increase the Prozac. The anxiety I do have is no where near the point it was at before Prozac!!! Stick with my stomach stayed messed up the first two weeks but is better now! Still have days it's sensitive though. I just hate having to rely on something to put me to sleep :(

well day 9 and better.....day 7 was worst since then the nausea has decreased and the headaches....I buzzed around the shops today (admit i took ativan .5mg) I have a bit of a virus so thats not helping I doubt.....
my therapist says the tablets are a form of avoidance to but heck I have to be able to keep going..and I know on meds I can....but this time I am looking longer term-1 year of the meds and therapy so when I come of next time I will hopefully know how to cope with the anxiety:)
glad your feeling better to :)

Most sides fade in weeks. I sleep well on it but not celexa or lexapro through.:)

The thing I hate about Prozac is it has the worst sexual side effects of all the SSRI's I have tried. It makes it impossible to get an erection.

I can't sleep without an aid period. I am literally up every 1-2 hours. As for sexual side effects I am female and it may take a little longer but I still get there :) so glad you are having some improvement!!!
