Great for the quick short term relief of panic and anxiety. Highly addictive and can create its own issues if you are on it to long.

I wonder what happens if you take it for to long?

I've used it for years (for occasional use). Like any benzo a Godsend for anxiety/panic..... unless you willy nilly start using it without some restraint and think that's the whole solution to anxiety(wrong).
If you take it too much and too long it won't work as well and you'll start to get side effects like foggy thinking, less clear memory and need to taper off the med. This is a mute point if used with restraint and also do the other things that help with anxiety(education, therapy, relaxation, an ssri, exercise, etc).

Like said above- try and use it occasionally (as opposed to taking it on a set schedule).

I think problems arise when one or two of the following start to happen
1) You have been taking it daily (or almost daily) for an extended period of time (2+ months)
2) You have started to increase the dose in order to get the desired effect. Even a small dose can be very effective, but over time you will need more.

Even if it hasn't been that long, you always want to taper off to some degree if you have been taking it for a bit. The withdrawals can be vicious (if you have been taking it for months/years).
