Hello doctor recently put me on CYMBALTA 30mg I've been taking it around 2pm and about 8pm the effects start hitting me. Nausea but more the room spinning and being spacey! Also tightish throat and kinds numb tongue.
Then I wake up a little spacey but that fades away but I've got like a hangover headache and blood shot eyes! Anyone experienced this this will be my fourth day on it.

Does it make you sleepy? My dr prescribed this to me and I'm scared to take it bc of the side effects.

It's a little scary! Just rang my doctor and she said just push through and maybe take them in the morning! This is my first time on meds:/

hi,
I took this for 5 days from minute I took it I became very very nauseous and spacey feeling, I did not leave the couch and when I did I had my first and only full blown panic attack:( I refused to take any more after that and even suffered coming of after this short time...for me the ssri has always been better....everyone is different I know but try taking in the morning(I have always taken meds in the morning) I am very proactive with my treatments and if in doubt always go to the gp:) good luck with it....

I don't get why more doctors don't slowly work the dose up... it's ridiculous. These are good medications.
Do a week or two at 10mg, a week or two at 20mg, then a week or two at 30mg. It will take a little bit of time to kick in, but it will SUBSTANTIALLY reduce the side effects by slowly introducing it to your body.
Secondly, ask for a couple benzos (like ativan) to help level you out while they kick in. When things get a little rough, take a small dose and it will totally relax you.
Sometimes it can be tough to get on these drugs. But if you start SLOW, and take out the tough moments with a benzo, the bad stuff will go away and you will feel great.
