Random eye pain

Hi there. I have had an achy right eye on and off for a couple of days. Now it's switched to my left. No visual problems! I have been a bit stressed the past week, could stress/anxiety cause this? I had an eye test a few weeks ago which was perfect. Freaking out incase there is anything wrong!! Can anyone help?

Hey! I feel the same way often. I eventually got brave enough to see my doctor and believe it or not there's muscles in the back of your neck that connect all the way to the eyes. In stressful times as you know your neck gets tense. This causes pain in the eyes also. So I'm sure that's what it is! :)

Oh thank you! That makes me feel a lot better!! It comes and goes so randomly, it makes sense it is an anxiety thing rather than anything bad. Surely if it was something bad it would be constant?! Thank you again!!!

Yeah , it happens to me all the time. It helps if you have some one or yourself rub the back of your neck and shoulders. :)

I will give that a try! Thank you!! Got an emergency eye app and my eyes are nice and heathy, just a bit dry which can be a side effect from my tablets. I use calmed down a bit now! :)

Good! Everything will be fine. Anxiety can cause absolute hell so no matter how hard things may seem , it's all going to be fine. Eventually we'll learn to cope , and get better.
