Hello all. New to the forums.

I Was diagnosed with anxiety round about 3 years ago. Think I have had it most all my life though, mildly. Had a full blown panic attack one morning which is why I went to the doctor.

I am on welbutrin now, have been on it for few years, but don't know if it doing all it's suppose to. I have only tried two other medications before this one. The welbutrin keeps my anxiety low, but I still feel a little on edge most of the time. Also, emotional parts in movies, tv show ect get my eyes all welled up and on the verge a little crying. I have never had that problem till after me being on medication.

Since I'm pretty new to this, I don't know if this is just how I'm suppose to feel from now on or do I need to change up my meds?

Any advice would be helpful

Thanks

I have found that meds help but are not a wonder cure. They can make you feel a bit better and take the edge of things but you need to do other stuff like relaxation techniques, eat healthily, get enough rest etc in order to feel "normal". You are you so there it's not a case of "how should I feel". Everyone is different. I wouldn't worry too much about welling up over emotional scenes on tv, that is what these scenes are designed to do- evoke emotion in the watcher. I'd probably be more worried if upsetting scenes made you feel nothing. I cry like a baby at sad movies/tv shows etc, even books. If you find yourself weepy all the time though then that would be a problem.
If the feeling of being on edge all the time is too much for you then as Kev said it may be best to se the doctor about an increase or change in meds.
