Yes, paroxetine can cause muscle spasms and twitching. There are a range of side effects (as with most drugs). But the 'zaps' are very common. I also found a really dry mouth and vision blurriness common side effects.

I'm on Day 2 with Paxil. I've been having bad abdominal churning each day with nausea and just tonight some dizziness. Please someone tell me this is normal and will go away soon! I'm very tempted to just stop taking them. I'm only doing 10mg right now. Maybe if I drop to 5mg?

Don't alter ur dose unless u speak to ur doc symptoms foe me lasted about 6 weeks except the twitching that's lasted
