Temazepam experiences

Hi,
My doc prescribed me Temazepam (10mg) today to help me get over my insomnia. I was wondering if any of you had tried it and if so how did you find it?

Good med and been around quite a while. An intermediate acting benzo often used for insomnia. It should be similar to ativan or estazolam(which I use for sleep sometimes). It's the official sleeping pill of the US Air Force. :)Alankay.

Thanks for the reply. Took my tablet about 3 hours ago and am still awake though! Maybe I need a stronger dose, haven't noticed any effects from taking it.

That's a starting dose maybe on the low side. Stay at that dose a few more times before getting the OK to try 15mg. Google "Sleep Hygiene" and read up on it as I've found that to be very important. Alankay

I was prescribed it after a stint in the ER. The doc prescribed me 30mg capsules. I didn't take them for about a month then I started having trouble sleeping. I just finished up the 25 or so pills I had last week (I was taking one everynight before I went to sleep). It was about two days later that I had a wonderfully full blown panic attack. I had been fine before taking it and now all of a sudden I am a complete mess I can barely function. All of the anxiety I assume is from withdrawing from the med. I just started celexa or the generic of it. I just hope it kicks in sooner than later cause I feel like I loosing control again...
