I've taken it for a while for tremor/shakes/racing heart is it works wonders. I use 20-40mg with no if any side effects. My pharmacist said att hat dose there should be few. Most people who take this med for heart issues take hundreds of milligrams a day. Great med. If afraid take a 1/2 just to see how it goes at that low dose. I bet you'll be fine. Alankay.

Hi there, I have been taking propranolol for 2 or so months now and have had no side effects. I take 80 mg (slow release) tablet daily. It has worked wonders in relation to increased heart rate, shaking and sweating. It does not stop panic attacks though but makes them more manageable and gets rid of some of the horrible symptoms associated with them. My heart rate and blood pressure are now at a normal level which is great! Using this drug in conjunction with therapy to learn the cause of your anxiety and how to control it really helps people. I'll admit that I was terrified about taking it at first but have never looked back since xxx

P.s totally forgot to say that I did have really weird and vivid dreams for the first few weeks of taking it. Didn't find this distressing though, I quite enjoyed them! X
