Depo-Provera?

I was recently put on this birth control shot to help with my painful periods, but I didn't do my research beforehand. I have recently been trying recoup from an increase in my anxiety and was feeling pretty decent, but yesterday I started feeling a little more anxious. I decided to check out some info about Depo side effects and found a lot of people who said that they experienced major mood problems and increased anxiety. Obviously I don't know the background of these people, so I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with this drug. I really don't want to have a setback because of this med. While someone may be able to help you here, I'd highly recommend speaking with your doctor or psychiatrist. They will know better.

But also keep in mind that side effects listed are often INCREDIBLY rare. Even if you are predisposed to anxiety, there's a very good chance it would have no effect whatsoever on your anxiety. It may be tough now because if you think it will make you more anxious, then it might. But try and understand it is very unlikely.
