Im so sorry to ask and i dont want to offened anyone but what is the difference between anxiety and depression sorry iv never got a good answer to the question

Thank u i ask for a couple reasons 1 i myself feel hopeless and like shit and dont want to live but have never seen a doctor on it 2 i like to help thoose in need and talk to thoose that need it and the more i know the more i can help and 3 i am in love with this girl that has been diagnosed with anxiety and slight depression but i think she has seveir depression and im always trying to help but next to none seems to work
