Does anyone else suffer from shortness of breath with anxiety?? I worry something serious is wrong...but as soon as I start to calm down the breathing seems easier. I'm so tired of anxiety.

This happens to me all the time. I feel like I'm not getting enough air and my chest tightens too. I've been to the E.R a few times thinking I was having a heart attack, but I wasn't. Anxiety sucks. It's such a ridiculous feeling to live with every day. I'm trying so hard to just will it away.

I went to my doctor today..he thinks its anxiety but sending me for an echo on my heart and a breathing test to make sure my lungs are okay...in the mean time I'm supposed to be starting paxil which I've taken in the past..so I'm praying it'll work again.

that's a good doctor you have! I love when doctors actually rule things out. I am the same way regarding the shortness of breath. It is very frustrating.

I just started taking paxil tonite...I took it about ten years ago and it worked wonderful for me so I'm hoping it'll help again!!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you :) My grandma took it for her panic disorder and it made her life so much better.

Yeah that's awesome. I've taken it in the past for a while and it really did help me..I'm usually a phobic when it comes to meds...idk how it why I got that way. I tried to kick this without meds but I guess God created these medications for a purpose. I have three kids I need to do this for them too. I want to be a strong, healthy mom. Hopefully ill have my tests done early next week!

With the shortness of breath stuff does anyone like yawn a lot to get a deep breath sometimes and then other times you feel like you need to just get that satisfying deep breath?

Absolutely. At times I feel like I can't get a deep enough one but then when I do it feels better.
