There is only one therapist near me really, and she already costs a lot. My mom can't find anyone else near us, she called but their lines were disconected. If worse comes to worse would going to a Dr. and getting something be alright? Or is seeing a therapist and a Dr. a lot better?

Also, when you think you are going to get an attack, or have just stopped one form coming, is it hard for you to swallow? It is for me and I haven't seen that listed anywhere.

I also don't have attacks very often. I gte them every once in a while. Inbetween attacks, I fear I'm going to get them. Does anyone else not have them all the time?

Don't worry the not being able to swallow thing is so normal.. Therapy and a Doc is best but if not there are a lot of Self Help programs out there for advice on which specific program to try ask around in here.

I tend to advise people to try Attacking Anxiety a Great self help program from a set of people called the Midwest Center for Anxiety and Depression it helped me a lot. It comes in 15 Audio lessons and a large workbook. It can be downloaded free using a program called bittorrent (google it) the torrent or file can be found in most torrent (run the word torrents through google) search sites.

If you don't want to see a general doctor you can always just call and ask to be refered to a specialist or someone you feel comfortable with.
