Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been suffering with panic attacks for 2 years now, which caused migraines and high blood pressure(All secondary to stress) I've always been this strong willed person and my grandmother died unexpectedly and my world came crashing down. Things that were unrelated to her death started to affect me and here we are 2 years later and I'm still suffering. I have up and down periods. Times when I don't need medications for months. I thought I had beat this thing but it returned back in full force. I have Xanax as needed and I see a therapist, but I stopped going after I felt better. Go figure. Anyway, I'm hoping this forum will help me to cope better with the stressors in my life because I feel broken. Thanks in advance

I'm right there with you. I lost my dad very sudden and tragic a year ago. Since this I have these attacks that can last for months!!! I've been on Ativan and have not taken in a while. I feel like I need it again though. I hate when I feel like I can't breath. It's so scarey!

These are very normal feelings.
You must begin to change the way you think of anxiety and realize that we often elevate the anxiety.
You must accept what has happened and find yourself okay with yourself. Your feeling. Your fear. Accept your anxiety.
Start focusing on others things. Meditate. Exercise. Develop coping skills to deal with the anxiety when it comes.
