I have been taking klonopin on and off for a few months. I try to wean off every couple of weeks because I am afraid of addiction, but everytime I try my anxiety comes back ten-fold. Should I just keep taking it so I feel better and not worry about addiction. My doctor upped my zoloft to 175 mg 3 weeks ago, but I can't feel a difference.
Thanks |

Last year I had some severe anxiety attacks that caused me to miss 5 weeks of work. I was given Klonopin for a couple of weeks and my doc warned me that I could only be on it a short time because it was very addictive. It was easily the most effective and least side effect drug I have been on. After you are addicted then it can be VERY dangerous to come off of it. I was moved over to prozac but after several months the side effects were causing much anxiety. I was switched to paxil. Now I seem to be sleeping several hours more a day but to me that is better than my anxiety.
Please consult your doc and let them know everything. I pray they will find the best medicine for your situation. |
